Teams will discover what can be done when intense natural events meet the places people live, work, and play. Brace yourself for NATURE'S FURY!

2013 - StormBot Challenge

Design an autonomous StormBot to help respond to a natural disaster of your choice (e.g. hurricane, tornado, flood). The scenario is that a first wave of the storm has already passed through and caused severe damage to a town. Debris is scattered around your town (mat) but one building/structure is still standing.

2012 - Senior Solutions

Explore the topic of aging and how it may affect a person’s ability to maintain his or her lifestyle – solving issues like getting around, keeping in touch, or staying fit.

2011 - Food Factor

Investigate your food and find one way to improve its safe delivery to you. Some questions to consider while you investigate include: Where does your food come from? How is it grown? Where has it been? Who handled it? How did it get to your kitchen cupboard? Who protected it along the way? How did they prevent spoiling and contamination? How did they decide which food was good and which was spoiled or contaminated?

2010 - Body Forward

Through the Body Forward™ Challenge, FLL teams will explore the cutting-edge world of Biomedical Engineering to discover innovative ways to repair injuries, overcome genetic predispositions, and maximize the body's potential, with the intended purpose of leading happier and healthier lives.
